Schedule: Part-time/Full-time (Approx. 20–30 hours/week + Vacation Pay)

- Shift Times: Monday–Friday (2:00 PM – 8:00 PM) | Alternate Saturdays (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, flexible)

Position Overview

We are looking for an ambitious, organized, and personable Assistant Centre Coordinator to work alongside our Centre Director. This dynamic leadership role merges direct student instruction, parent relationship management, staff support, and business operations. It is an ideal step for an educator eager to build operational expertise and transition into educational management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Instruction & Academic Support

- Deliver individual and small-group tutoring using the Scholars Method.
- Administer and evaluate diagnostic assessments to identify learning gaps and track ongoing progress.
- Support students across learning plans, including homework help, concept mastery, and test preparation.
- Manage student flow and instructional pacing during peak hours.

2. Centre Operations & Business Support





- Support and assist the Centre Director to maintain productive day-to-day operations and step in to run the centre when the Director is away.
- Handle administrative duties, student record-keeping, and schedule management.
- Ensure a clean, professional, and welcoming environment for students and families.
- Assist in hitting operational goals, driving student retention, and supporting local outreach events (e.g., Open Houses, Community Fairs).

3. Family & Community Engagement

- Manage inquiries, conduct student intakes, and lead prospective parent consultations.
- Provide clear, ongoing progress updates to build trusting, long-term relationships with families.
- Collaborate with local teachers, school administrators, and community partners to support student success.

4. Staff Leadership & Team Culture

- Assist with leading staff meetings, professional development, and instructional quality checks.
- Delegate daily tasks, support team morale, and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary credential (Required).
- Tutoring/Teaching: Minimum 1 year of direct tutoring experience (Required).



Leadership or formal teaching background preferred.
- Customer Service & Sales: Background in sales, education management, or customer service (Required).
- Academic Proficiency: Versatile academic skillset with complete comfort teaching content through Kindergarten to Grade 12 across core disciplines: Mathematics, English, and Science.
- Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with experience using CRMs, Google Workspace, and online scheduling platforms.
- Language & Clearance: Fluent in English (French fluency is an asset). Must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check (WRPS).
- Availability & Location: Reliable availability for weekday afternoons/evenings and alternate weekends. Ability to commute to Langley, BC, or relocate prior to start.
