Veterinary Receptionist,

Part-time Position

Green Acres Animal Hospital is looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-service-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team!

At Green Acres, our reception team plays an incredibly important role in creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service.

Your primary home base will be reception, where you will be the welcoming face and voice of our hospital. You will help clients feel comfortable and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors or call us on the phone.

What You'll Be Doing

- As a Veterinary Receptionist, your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
- Answering phones, responding to client questions, and helping direct inquiries appropriately
- Booking and managing appointments
- Checking clients in and out
- Processing payments and invoices
- Communicating with clients regarding appointments, medications, food, and follow-up care
- Maintaining accurate client and patient information
- Working closely with our veterinarians, RVTs, and support team to ensure a smooth patient experience
- Helping keep the reception area organized, welcoming, and running efficiently
- Supporting the team with a variety of administrative and day-to-day hospital tasks

More Than Just Reception

While reception will be your primary role, we believe in developing our team members and providing opportunities to learn more about the different areas of a veterinary hospital.

Once you are comfortable and confident in your reception responsibilities, we will provide opportunities to cross-train in other areas of the hospital. This could include learning more about patient care, assisting the veterinary team, pharmacy, animal handling, and other support roles.

- Is eager to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities over time

Experience

- Veterinary reception or previous veterinary experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right person.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, healthcare, or another client-facing environment would be considered valuable.
