Would you like to practice high-quality medicine just 3–4 days per week, with free weekends? We are welcoming an experienced or new graduate Veterinarian to join our team at Blue Cross Animal Hospital in Sarnia, Ontario. Located in Southwestern Ontario on the shores of Lake Huron, our hospital has proudly served local pets and their families for more than 50 years, with regional outpatient locations in Petrolia and Corunna. When you join our team, you will step into a warm, supportive hospital family with long-serving staff dedicated to delivering high-quality medical care to dogs and cats in a collaborative environment.

Responsibiities

- Provide wellness and preventive care, including vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition, laboratory screening, and wellness planning.
- Maintain a full schedule of 10 mixed appointments per shift while allowing flexibility to address walk-ins.
- Provide routine dental care, including examinations and cleanings, and identify opportunities for preventive or follow-up treatment.
- Support senior pets by monitoring health, managing chronic conditions, and providing preventive care to maintain quality of life.
- Build trusted relationships with pet owners through clear communication and compassionate care.
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgeries, such as spay and neuter procedures, laceration repairs, and umbilical hernia corrections.
- Maintain accurate medical records and follow best practices in patient care and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate within a team-based veterinary medicine environment, recognizing the importance of every role in delivering exceptional client and patient care.




- Flexible availability for a 3- to 4-day work week, and no weekends.

What You Bring to This Role

- A valid DVM degree from an accredited university and a license (or immediate eligibility for licensing) with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).
- A genuine enthusiasm for veterinary medicine and a deep commitment to the health and well-being of our dogs and cats.
- A strong dedication to promoting team-based medical practices, partnering closely with our talented RVTs and support staff.
- Engaging interpersonal and communication skills that build trust with our pet parents, your colleagues, and the local Sarnia community.
