Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely and efficiently
- Perform order picking, packing, and fulfillment tasks to prepare shipments accurately according to specifications
- Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, inspecting goods, and documenting transactions using warehouse management systems like AS400
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of products to ensure proper storage and inventory control
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by handling raw materials or components as needed
- Maintain a clean,
organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular inspections
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience with familiarity in warehouse distribution operations is highly preferred
- Proven ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; certification is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge or background in manufacturing or construction environments is advantageous
- Experience with warehouse management systems like AS400 or similar platforms for inventory control
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and repetitive tasks safely
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, packaging standards, and load/unload processes
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with excellent attention to detail
- Basic understanding of heavy equipment operation, order fulfillment, and warehouse safety protocols
