At Unger Window & Door, we are hiring a Junior Installer to support our residential installation crew and develop into a capable installer.

This is not a role where you hide in the background or wait to be told every small thing. You will be expected to work safely, think ahead of the senior installers, stay productive, protect the customer’s home, follow direction, and improve quickly.

The Role

You will work alongside experienced installers completing residential window and door projects. You will assist with site preparation, removal, product handling, opening preparation, insulation, flashing, trim, sealant, hardware, and cleanup.

You are not expected to know everything on day one. You are expected to understand basic construction tools, listen carefully, apply feedback, and take responsibility for your work.

What You Own

- Arriving on time, equipped, and ready to work
- Following the Team Lead’s instructions
- Completing assigned work safely and correctly
- Protecting the customer’s home and installed products
- Keeping tools, materials, and debris organized
- Reporting mistakes, damage, and unclear conditions immediately
- Improving your skills, speed, and independence
- Helping the crew maintain steady workflow

You May Be a Strong Fit If You

- Have construction, renovation,



carpentry, glazing, or similar experience
- Understand how to use common construction tools safely
- Take pride in physical, hands-on work
- Want to learn a skilled trade
- Accept feedback without becoming defensive
- Ask questions rather than guessing
- Notice what needs to be done and stay productive
- Care about clean, skilled work
- Want an opportunity to grow into a senior installer role

This Role Is Not a Fit If You

- Regularly arrive late or unprepared
- Need to be reminded constantly to keep working

- Resist instruction
- Treat cleanup and organization as someone else’s responsibility
- Expect advancement without first proving reliability and skill

Compensation

- Hourly wage: up to $28/hr
- Wage progression based on demonstrated skills, reliability, quality, and increased responsibility.
- Typical schedule: 8:00AM-4:30PM weekdays
