Our Public Sector client has a requirement for one (1) Senior Special Advisor to support a major information technology modernization initiative focused on enhancing network capabilities across an international environment.

The successful candidate will provide senior-level strategic and project advisory services in support of the modernization of network and infrastructure service delivery. The work involves supporting project management activities, coordinating with key stakeholders, providing strategic guidance, monitoring project progress, and supporting the implementation of cloud and secure networking technologies.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Manage and provide direction to several project managers and work with key project stakeholders, including resources from other government departments
- Establish procedures for the development and implementation of various project components
- Execute, monitor and report on project status to the IM/IT management team
- Determine change management and user engagement strategies
- Provide project updates to various governance committees, as required
- Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and work breakdown schedules
- Prepare project tracking documentation and project status dashboard reports for stakeholders
- Prepare briefing notes for senior management regarding critical risks and issues, as required
- Develop project management artifacts as required

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, as a Special Advisor developing business strategies and processes




- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or Computer Engineering from a Canadian institution, or an institution recognized as equivalent
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing business strategies and providing strategic guidance on projects involving cloud technology
- A minimum of three (3) years of Information Technology transformation experience as an IT Project Executive in organizations with a decentralized user community.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience, within the last five (5) years, reviewing, assessing and optimizing IT network components, such as WAN and LAN, within a decentralized organization.

Assets include:
- Experience deploying and managing cloud-based networking solutions across multiple international locations, including:

- Design and implementation of secure, scalable cloud network architectures
- Integration of hybrid on-premises and cloud environments
- Coordination with stakeholders across multiple geographic regions
- Experience within the last ten (10) years acting as a Senior Advisor, Project Executive, or equivalent role and providing strategic guidance on projects involving international network infrastructure or enterprise-level cloud or hybrid environments




- Experience applying Government of Canada or equivalent security controls, including:

- Implementation and assessment of ITSG-33 or equivalent security control frameworks
- Design and implementation of secure cloud-to-on-premises connectivity in accordance with applicable security standards, policies and best practices
- Experience with Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A;) processes, including conducting or supporting security assessments of IT systems
