Mission X is a NeoCloud provider that develops and operates AI data centers and delivers GPU-as-a-Service. Our live GPU cloud capacity is in Toronto, and we have AI data center projects underway across North America and Asia. With our next Ontario AI data center coming online, we're hiring our first dedicated accountant to manage our books and help build our finance function as we grow.

The Role

This is a hands-on role covering day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting across our Canadian, U.S., and Singapore entities, in both CAD and USD. You'll keep our books accurate and up to date, run the monthly close, and handle invoicing, payables, and sales tax filings. You'll work closely with our CEO, leadership team, external CPA firm, and payroll provider. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto.

What You'll Do

- Handle full-cycle bookkeeping: AP/AR, general ledger entries, and bank and credit card reconciliations
- Prepare month-end close and monthly financial statements
- Issue customer invoices and track payments for GPU cloud and data center contracts
- Process vendor payments, employee expense reports, and payroll reconciliations
- Track data center and GPU hardware purchases and maintain the fixed asset register
- Record intercompany and multi-currency (CAD/USD) transactions, including foreign exchange revaluation, between our Canadian, U.S., and Singapore entities
- Prepare and file GST/HST returns, and support U.S. state sales tax and 1099 reporting
- Support cash flow tracking, budgeting, and reporting for leadership,



investors, and lenders
- Work with our external CPA firm on year-end, Canadian and U.S. corporate tax filings, and audits
- Help build accounting processes, controls, and a clean chart of accounts as we scale
- Communicate financial information clearly in English and Mandarin with leadership, partners, and vendors

What We're Looking For

- Fluent Mandarin and English (spoken and written) — required. You will work directly with Mandarin-speaking leadership, partners, and counterparties, and will review financial documents in both languages
- Hands-on experience with both Canadian and U.S. accounting — required, including ASPE/IFRS and U.S. GAAP, multi-currency (CAD/USD) bookkeeping, and familiarity with CRA and IRS filing requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience, including month-end close
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar, plus strong Excel skills
- Comfortable in a startup environment: organized, self-directed, and willing to wear multiple hats
- Detail-oriented and discreet with confidential financial information
- Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Nice to Have

- CPA (Canada) designation, or actively pursuing the CPA PEP
- Experience at a data center, cloud, energy, real estate, or infrastructure company
- Experience with cross-border Canada–U.S. companies, multi-entity bookkeeping, or fixed-asset tracking
