Horse Ridge Ltd. is preparing to acquire and continue the operations of a long-established hair salon in Hinton, Alberta. Due to confidentiality obligations, the name of the salon will be disclosed to shortlisted candidates at the appropriate stage.

We are seeking an experienced Certified Journeyperson Hairstylist who can also serve as Salon Manager and help lead the business through its transition into new ownership.

The successful candidate will help maintain continuity for the salon’s established clientele while supporting future growth, service expansion and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

- Provide qualified hairstyling services.
- Manage day-to-day salon operations.
- Maintain high standards of customer service.
- Coordinate appointments, schedules and staffing.
- Assist with inventory and product management.
- Support recruitment and training of additional staff.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Alberta hairstyling and personal-service requirements.
- Where qualified, act as a mentor/supervisor for a registered Hairstylist Apprentice.
- Work with ownership on customer retention, marketing and business growth.

Requirements




- Alberta Journeyperson Certificate in Hairstyling, Red Seal endorsement, or another hairstyling trade certificate recognized in Alberta.
- Strong practical hairstyling experience.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and assume management responsibility.
- Salon-management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Previous experience mentoring apprentices is an asset.
