The Royal Canadian Yacht Club is a world class yacht club with a mandate to promote excellence in competitive sailing and sports. RCYC is currently ranked as one of the top 50 Yacht Clubs in the world and we firmly believe that much of our continued success is determined by our staff. The RCYC operates year-round from two facilities: our summer home at the Island Clubhouse and our City Clubhouse in downtown Toronto at St George and Bloor.

Responsibilities:

- Lead engaging and effective aquatic fitness classes designed to improve participants' cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and overall well-being
- Create an environment in the class for safe, inclusive, and motivating environment for individuals of varying fitness levels and ages
- Demonstrate proper techniques and ensure participants perform exercises safely and effectively.
- Monitor class participants to provide modifications and prevent injuries during sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the aquatic setting in coordination with facility staff.
- Engage with participants to motivate and encourage consistent attendance and progress.





Qualtifications:

- Certification as an Aquafit Instructor from a recognized organization (e.g., CanFitPro, Aquatic Exercise Association).
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
- Experience leading group fitness classes, preferably in an aquatic environment.
- Strong knowledge of Water Safety
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse groups of participants.
- Own Professional Liability Insurance
