BOOKKEEPER – NEWVIEWS / NV2 EXPERIENCE

Key Requirement:

Previous practical experience working with NewViews / NewViews 2 accounting software is strongly preferred and will be given priority.

Responsibilities include:

- Full-cycle bookkeeping for small and medium-sized businesses
- Recording and reviewing accounting transactions
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Preparing trial balances and accounting reports
- HST/GST calculations and working papers
- Payroll-related bookkeeping
- Maintaining accurate client records
- Assisting with year-end working papers and accountant requests
- Reviewing accounts and identifying discrepancies
- Communicating with clients when information is required

Qualifications:

- 1 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Hands-on NewViews/NV2 experience
- QuickBooks proficient
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles
- Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger
- Knowledge of HST and payroll




- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skillsAn ideal candidate will:
- Be comfortable working with multiple client files
- Understand accounting rather than simply entering transactions
- Be able to investigate and correct discrepancies
- Have experience working in a public accounting environment
- Be willing to assist with other accounting-office responsibilities as required
