Expert Cleaners Inc. is a GTA-based commercial cleaning and building maintenance company serving institutional, commercial, and residential clients across the Greater Toronto Area since 2006. We're looking for a skilled, reliable live-in Superintendent for River Park — YRSCC No. 1264, a condominium community in Markham.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, full-time, live-in Superintendent role — not a temporary relief position. You'll be the building's regular, permanent superintendent, combining day-to-day building oversight with hands-on minor repair work. You'll report to Expert Cleaners' Director of Operations and work closely with the property manager and board on assigned projects and priorities.

What You'll Do

- Conduct regular building rounds and inspections.
- Respond to resident requests and concerns.
- Coordinate minor repairs and trades access with outside contractors.
- Oversee common-area cleanliness and general upkeep.
- Perform minor carpentry and general repairs (doors, hardware, fixtures, built-ins).
- Carry out light painting and touch-up work in common areas.
- Handle minor plumbing repairs (leaky fixtures, running toilets, clogged drains).
- Handle minor electrical repairs (outlets, switches, light fixtures) within the scope of general maintenance.
- Complete drywall patching and touch-ups.
- Repair and maintain doors, locks, and hardware throughout the building.




- Support seasonal maintenance items (e.g., preventive walk-throughs, minor seasonal upkeep).
- Take on facility repair or upgrade projects assigned by the property manager, within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Log completed work and material usage in Expert Cleaners' facilities management software.

Duties are not limited to the list above — management may assign additional tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required

- 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a superintendent or multi-trade maintenance worker.
- Working knowledge across multiple trades: carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical, painting, and drywall.
- Comfortable managing your own time and materials for assigned repair jobs.
- Strong communication skills in English to coordinate with the property manager, board, and residents.
- Comfortable living in office as part of a live-in superintendent arrangement.

Preferred

- Condominium or residential building experience.
- Own basic hand and power tools (larger equipment provided by Expert Cleaners as needed).
