Duties
- Assist customers with inquiries, purchases, and product information to ensure an exceptional shopping experience
- Maintain clean and organized store areas, including shelves, displays, and checkout counters
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently during cashiering duties
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring product availability
- Use forklifts safely for inventory movement when required and maintain proper maintenance records
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Perform routine cleaning tasks to uphold health and safety standards within the store environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and effective communication across departments
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is highly desirable
- Ability to operate a forklift safely; certification preferred but not mandatory with training provided
- Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities to serve diverse customers effectively
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and store maintenance practices
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy retail setting
- Experience with cashiering systems and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability to perform cleaning, stocking, and basic maintenance tasks reliably
