Responsibilities
- Develop trusting relationships with children and youth to promote emotional well-being and resilience
- Implement individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs, including behavioral support strategies
- Facilitate engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and personal growth
- Monitor and document behavioral progress, incidents, and daily activities accurately and thoroughly
- Collaborate with families, educators, therapists, and other professionals to support holistic development
- Assist children with daily routines such as meal times, hygiene, homework, and recreational activities
- Provide a safe environment by supervising activities and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
Requirements
- Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or care settings
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Strong teaching skills to effectively communicate concepts and guide behavior positively
- Compassionate attitude with excellent interpersonal skills to connect with children from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and energetic in dynamic situations
- Relevant certifications or training in child care or youth work are preferred but not mandatory
- Must be committed to creating a supportive environment that encourages growth and development
