As a Clinical Specialist, you will play an important role in helping Merz Therapeutics advance our mission by delivering a best-in-class program to support patients with physical impairments living in long-term care (LTC). Reporting to the Director of Long-Term Care, the Clinical Specialist will provide clinical support within their professional scope of practice, including injectable medication preparation, medical education, and clinic coordination involving multiple stakeholders at LTC homes in Alberta and parts of British Columbia.
Essential Duties:
This is a full time, remote, field-based role for a registered nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) living in Alberta and will require daily travel by car (approximately 3 days/week),
with some overnight travel. Overnight travel includes within AB and BC, attending our annual and mid-year meetings, with occasional visits to our corporate office in Burlington, Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconstitution of injectable medications
- Clinical support for physicians
- Managing inventory of medical supplies & devices
- Counseling patients and caregivers
- Communicating with LTC home staff, physicians, pharmacies and other stakeholders
- Ensuring appropriate documentation and recordkeeping
- Providing medical education to LTC staff
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN or LPN) in Alberta
- Willing to become dual licensed (British Columbia)
- Preferred candidates will bring some experience within the LTC environment.

- Able to travel by car daily & occasionally overnight (car allowance provided)
