About the role:

CIS Insurance Brokers is looking for a dynamic, energetic, and team-oriented Commercial Portfolio Manager to join our growing team. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial lines clients while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the accurate and timely administration of policies. You will play a key role in managing renewals, endorsements, cancellations, new business, and remarketing opportunities, while identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling to support portfolio growth.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented insurance professional with excellent communication and customer service skills. You are highly organized, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a quick-paced environment. You demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to teamwork and client service.





What you’ll be doing:

- Oversee house accounts to drive retention and premium growth through cross-selling, upselling, and referring opportunities across other lines of business.
- Conduct thorough renewal reviews, present coverage recommendations, generate comparison quotes, and remarket policies as needed to retain clients.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, brokers, insurance representatives, and team members.

- Issue endorsements, Certificates of Insurance, pink slips (commercial/garage auto), and process all policy modifications accurately.
- Monitor and manage incoming documentation, ensuring immediate action on time-sensitive notices (e.g., Non-Payment, Cancellation, Final Notices).

- Maintain data accuracy within EPIC, ensuring all applications, files, and client histories are thoroughly documented with detailed notes.

- Underwrite small commercial submissions and obtain competitive quotes directly through insurer portals.
- Assist brokers in preparing market-ready submissions, including pulling building valuation reports and gathering required risk data.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of carrier products, appetite changes, coverage offerings, and market trends.

- Partner with accounting and carriers to handle EPIC invoicing, process credit card payments,



resolve billing disputes, and establish payment terms to manage accounts receivable.

- Deliver prompt, professional service when responding to client and insurer inquiries.
- Perform additional operational duties as assigned to support overall team objectives.

What we need you to bring:

- Must be fluent in English AND Mandarin or Cantonese.

- Undergraduates Degree or equivalent professional industry experience.

- RIBO License in good standing required.
- CIP or CAIB Certification or working towards its completion is considered an asset.

- 2 - 3 years of experience within a general insurance brokerage, specifically focused on servicing commercial lines accounts.

- Experience working with EPIC is considered an asset.
- Proficient with insurance policy systems as well as MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

- Exceptional quotation skills for cross-selling, upselling and remarketing.
