What You’ll Do

As a Controls Specialist, you’ll work alongside experienced team members to support the design and delivery of advanced automation solutions for various industries.

You’ll gain exposure in everything from concept to commissioning—bringing machines to life through smart, integrated control systems.

Your Key Contributions:

- Assist with developing innovative automation concepts and control solutions
- Support the design, programming, and testing of PLC and HMI systems
- Help integrate software with electrical and mechanical systems
- Participate as part of the team providing machine installation and commissioning at customer sites

- PLCs
- Robotics
- Vision systems

What You’ll Learn and Support

- Assist with the design and implementation of safety systems (Safety PLCs & controllers)
- Support the programming and testing of PLCs and HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens, Mitsubishi)
- Gain exposure to advanced vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, etc.) for inspection and guidance
- Assist with the programming and commissioning robots (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, etc.)
- Learn to configure and troubleshoot servo and motion control systems
- Support the debugging and commissioning systems in-house and in office
- Collaborate closely with other teams

What You Bring

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Electrical engineering, Automation, Robotics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Exposure to PLC, HMI, and robotics is an asset
- Hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems would be great
- Familiarity with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens, or Mitsubishi is an asset
- Exposure to robotics, vision systems, electrical design, or mechanical systems is an asset
- Foundational knowledge of:
- Industrial automation standards
- Safety standards
- Network protocols
- Highly organized, self-driven, and adaptable
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)




- Valid driver’s licence and passport may be required for customer-site travel
