Role Description The Data Infrastructure and Automation Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and automated workflows that support scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platforms. Day-to-day tasks include building and optimizing data infrastructure, integrating data sources, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting issues to ensure reliable operations. The role involves collaborating with software engineers, data analysts, and product teams to automate processes, improve data quality, and enhance operational efficiency.

The engineer will document architectures and procedures,



contribute to best practices for data governance and security, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure and automation. This position requires proactive communication, ownership of assigned projects, and the ability to work independently in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

- Robust troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose, analyze, and resolve infrastructure and automation issues efficiently.
- Experience in process control and automation, including designing, implementing, and optimizing automated workflows and control systems.
- Background in electrical engineering or related technical discipline, with understanding of systems integration and hardware–software interaction.
- Familiarity with robotics or automated systems, including configuring, monitoring, and maintaining robotic or robotic-like process components.
- Proficiency with data infrastructure technologies (e.g., databases, data pipelines, ETL tools, cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with scripting or programming languages commonly used for automation (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of networking, system security, and best practices for reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
- Experience in a technology consulting or service provider
