The Director, Marketing & Retails Services is accountable to the Associate Vice President, Communications, Marketing and Retail Services for providing direction in implementing policies, guidelines, processes and practices that govern institutional marketing, brand management and retail services. The Director, leads the development, implementation and ongoing renewal of Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s strategic marketing and retail services plans, ensuring both portfolios advance institutional priorities, strengthen the learner and employee experience, protect the brand and support sustainable revenue generation The Director must bring an entrepreneurial spirit, commercial awareness, contributing knowledge and tools to empower the senior management team and institutional leaders to achieve our vision of becoming the first choice polytechnic in Canada.
Based in one of our campus cities,
the Director provides strategic leadership to the marketing and retail services team which includes campus store and print services functions. On a regular basis the Director, interacts with the President, Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents, Deans and other Directors. The Director is an institutional expert in marketing, brand and retail strategy and is expected to travel among our campus cities on a regular basis to interact with faculty, staff and students identifying emerging needs and ensuring a consistent, enterprise-wide approach to marketing and retails services.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in marketing preferred. Applicants should be experienced in leading a creative team; minimum seven years of experience in a marketing and client-focused position, including three years at the management level. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
