This is a hybrid position based at our corporate office located in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday.
Position Summary The Director, Treasury Planning &
- Analysis is responsible for leading the Company's enterprise cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, capital allocation analytics, and executive financial reporting processes. This role provides strategic oversight of free cash flow forecasting, capital expenditure planning, physician distribution forecasting, cash flow conversion analysis, and treasury performance reporting.
The Director serves as a strategic partner to the Assistant Treasurer and Treasury leadership, leading the Company's enterprise cash flow forecasting, treasury analytics, and executive reporting functions. The role is responsible for delivering accurate forecasts, actionable financial insights, and comprehensive reporting to support liquidity planning, capital allocation decisions, and long-term financial strategy.
The ideal candidate combines deep financial planning and treasury expertise with robust leadership capabilities, exceptional business acumen, and a proven ability to influence outcomes across a complex, high-growth organization.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Cash Flow Forecasting &
- Liquidity Planning
- Lead the development and management of the Company's short-term and long-range enterprise cash flow forecasting processes.
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies, governance processes, and reporting standards established by Treasury leadership.
- Support liquidity planning, cash positioning analyses, and funding forecasts for review by the Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer.
- Evaluate forecast performance and drive continuous improvement through enhanced analytics, automation, and business partnership.
- Lead scenario planning and stress testing activities to evaluate the impact of operational, financial, and market conditions on liquidity and cash generation.
- Prepare and present cash flow forecasts, liquidity analyses, and performance reporting to Treasury leadership, executive management, and other stakeholders.
Free Cash Flow &
- Executive Reporting
- Serve as the functional owner of enterprise free cash flow forecasting and reporting.
- Develop executive-level dashboards, scorecards, and reporting packages highlighting key cash flow and liquidity metrics.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of free cash flow performance and underlying business drivers.
- Provide insight into operating cash flow trends, working capital performance, and opportunities to improve cash generation.
- Prepare and deliver materials supporting Board meetings, Executive Leadership Team reviews, lender reporting, and investor-related analyses.
- Establish performance measurement frameworks around cash flow conversion and capital efficiency metrics.
Capital Expenditure Planning &
- Governance
- Lead the Company's capital expenditure budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis processes.
- Partner with Operations and Finance teams to evaluate capital spending requests and ensure alignment with approved budgets and strategic priorities.
- Oversee compliance with the Company's Capital Investment Policy and established approval authorities, ensuring appropriate governance and documentation of capital investments.
- Monitor capital spending trends and provide regular reporting and analysis on approved, committed, and actual capital expenditures.
- Develop forecasts and scenario analysis to support capital planning, funding requirements, liquidity forecasting, and free cash flow projections.
- Provide management with insights into capital deployment performance and support executive and Board reporting related to capital investment activities
Treasury Analytics &
- Strategic Financial Planning
- Develop sophisticated financial models supporting liquidity planning, capital structure management, debt reduction strategies, and strategic initiatives.
- Lead analysis of cash flow conversion performance and identify opportunities to improve enterprise cash generation.
- Support Treasury's capital markets activities through modeling, forecasting,
and financial analysis.
- Evaluate financial risks and provide recommendations to optimize liquidity, improve financial flexibility, and support growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology to enhance reporting capabilities and analytical insights.
Leadership &
- Cross-Functional Partnership
- Serve as a key strategic partner to Treasury, FP&A;, Accounting, Operations, Tax, Investor Relations, and executive leadership teams.
- Lead and mentor treasury and finance professionals, fostering analytical excellence and continuous development.
- Partner with business leaders to improve accountability for forecasting inputs, assumptions, and cash flow performance metrics.
- Influence business decisions through analytical insights and fact-based recommendations.
- Support special projects, acquisitions, financing activities, and other enterprise initiatives as requested by senior leadership.
- Promote strong governance, internal controls, and compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
Qualifications Education &
- Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- MBA preferred.
- 8-12 years of progressive experience in Treasury, FP&A;, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or related finance functions, including experience leading forecasting and reporting processes.
- Significant experience leading cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and strategic financial planning processes.
- Demonstrated success developing executive-level reporting and supporting C-suite decision-making.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders in complex organizations.
- Public company experience strongly preferred.
- Healthcare, multi-site operations, or ASC industry experience preferred.
- CPA, CFA, CTP, or other relevant professional designation is a plus.

- Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

I understand that Surgery Partners has a policy to maintain a drug free workplace.
