Dispatch Coordinator – School Bus Transportation

We are looking for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our school bus transportation team in Scarborough. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands-on experience in school bus dispatch and be comfortable coordinating drivers, routes, schedules, and day-to-day transportation operations.

This is an office-based position requiring strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily school bus routes, schedules, and driver assignments.
- Communicate with school bus drivers regarding routes, schedules, delays, and changes.
- Monitor buses and ensure routes are operating according to schedule.
- Handle last-minute driver absences, route changes, and transportation issues.
- Respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, and other dispatch-related situations.
- Maintain accurate records of drivers, routes, schedules, and incidents.
- Communicate professionally with schools, drivers, parents, and internal staff when required.
- Coordinate replacement drivers when needed.
- Ensure all dispatch information is communicated accurately and promptly.
- Assist with daily transportation planning and administrative duties.




- Maintain a calm and organized approach in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience in school bus dispatch is required.
- Previous experience with school bus transportation operations.
- Robust communication and coordination skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle time-sensitive situations.
- Comfortable working with drivers and resolving operational issues.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn dispatch software.
- Ability to work on-site in Scarborough.
- Available for immediate joining.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, organized, and able to make quick decisions while keeping daily school transportation operations running smoothly.

Only candidates with relevant school bus dispatch experience will be considered.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
