We're Hiring! Support Worker/Aide (Part-Time)

Kids & Company Tamarack is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker/Aide to provide one-on-one support to a child who requires additional assistance while attending our childcare program.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting a child's growth, development, and successful participation in a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

- Provide individualized 1:1 support to a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Implement individualized care plans and support strategies.
- Foster the child's participation, independence, and engagement in daily activities.
- Work collaboratively with educators, the Centre Director, family members, and external support professionals.
- Support the child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain a protected, nurturing, and inclusive setting.
- Complete observations and documentation as required.

Qualifications

- Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Level 1 or Level 2 Certification.
- Experience providing individualized support and implementing individualized care strategies.
- Patient, compassionate,



and child-focused approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators, leadership, families, and support teams.
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR certification.

Hours of Work

- Monday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Friday: 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Total: 24 hours per week
