Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as ECEA/ECE/Break Coverage staff. This role involves providing quality childcare and educational support within a dynamic early childhood environment. The position offers an opportunity to work with children, including those with disabilities, and to contribute positively to their developmental growth.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and engage children during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Provide break coverage for lead teachers, maintaining continuity of care and instruction
- Support children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education accommodations
- Assist in implementing educational programs aligned with curriculum standards
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding daily activities and individual needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and learning spaces




- Document observations and progress notes to support individualized learning plans
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute age-appropriate activities

Experience

- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices essential
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is a plus
- Bilingual skills, especially in English and French, are highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Robust leadership qualities with the ability to foster positive relationships with children and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in computer operation and classroom management software
- Classroom experience that showcases organizational skills and the ability to adapt to various situations is preferred

Pay: $18.25-$21.00 per hour
