Position Overview

Velocity Group is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Reporting & Regulatory Coordinator to support our environmental consulting team from our Grande Prairie office. This role focuses on transforming field-collected data into high-quality regulatory submissions, technical reports, and client deliverables. The successful candidate will work closely with Environmental Technicians, Biologists, and Project Managers to ensure reports are accurate, complete, and submitted in accordance with provincial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and interpret field reports, environmental assessments, and field data collected by environmental staff.
- Prepare and finalize Wildlife Sweep Reports, including data compilation, mapping, and quality control.
- Assist with Environmental Assessments and technical reporting for energy, infrastructure, and development projects.
- Prepare Water Act application reports and supporting documentation.
- Complete Timber Salvage Assessments and associated reporting requirements.
- Prepare reclamation and remediation reports using field data, photographs, and mapping information.
- Upload and manage regulatory submissions through the Alberta OneStop platform.
- Compile project figures, maps, tables, and appendices for client deliverables.
- Coordinate with field staff to obtain missing information and ensure report completeness.
- Maintain organized digital project files and document management systems.
- Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of reports prior to submission.
- Track project deadlines and assist Project Managers with regulatory deliverables.
- Assist with GIS mapping and spatial data management as required.
- Stay current with Alberta environmental regulations, application requirements, and reporting standards.

Qualifications





- Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Technology, Biology, Forestry, Geography, or a related discipline.
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
- Experience interpreting environmental field data and preparing regulatory reports.
- Familiarity with Alberta OneStop and provincial regulatory application processes is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or Global Mapper is considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a quick-paced consulting environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project teams.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
