Who We Are Looking For The Toronto Lawn Tennis Club is seeking an outgoing and enthusiastic Part Time Fitness Floor Supervisor to join our Fitness team.
This is a outstanding opportunity for someone who enjoys fitness, sports and athletics, likes connecting with people, and takes pride in creating a welcoming and positive environment. An interest in tennis or racquet sports is a bonus.
You will be a visible presence on the Fitness Floor, welcoming Members and guests, assisting with fitness equipment, helping maintain a clean and safe environment, and providing friendly and professional service.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, approachable and comfortable engaging with Members. You should be able to work independently, take initiative and contribute positively to the overall Member experience.
Ability to reliably commute to 44 Price St, Toronto, ON is required.
Reports To: Fitness & Pool Manager
Direct Reports: None
Hours of Work
This is a part time position specifically covering:
- Thursday: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
- Friday: 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Reliability, flexibility and consistent availability for these shifts are important.
What a Typical Shift Looks Like
Your shift will include welcoming Members and guests to the Fitness Centre, monitoring the Fitness Floor, assisting Members with equipment, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and ensuring Club safety procedures and Fitness Department guidelines are followed.
You will also interact regularly with Members, answer general questions, promote Fitness Centre programs and services, and help create a friendly and engaging atmosphere.
What You Will Do
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet Members and guests and provide friendly, professional service
- Maintain an active and visible presence on the Fitness Floor
- Assist Members with the appropriate use of fitness equipment
- Explain and reinforce Fitness Centre safety rules and procedures
- Help ensure the Fitness Centre and Group Exercise areas remain clean, tidy and organized
- Monitor fitness equipment and report maintenance or repair requirements
- Help maintain adequate supplies within the Fitness Centre
- Answer Member questions and provide general assistance
- Promote Fitness Centre programs, Personal Training, Group Exercise and Club activities
- Help anticipate Member needs and address concerns appropriately
- Report incidents or Member concerns requiring follow up
- Maintain required Fitness Department records and checklists
- Work collaboratively with other departments and team members
- Follow Club health, safety,
emergency and operating procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Credentials
- High School Diploma
- Previous relevant experience is preferred
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification is preferred
