RAS is looking for an FORKLIFT OPERATOR to to assist in all duties in a lumber yard setting. Loading wood framed wall packs, picking lumber orders and assisting with cutting joist packs. Hours would be 3:15pm - 11:45pm.

Forklift operator and order picking experience required. Telehandler operation experience would be a plus.

Crew housing not available - must be local.

Responsibilities:

- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials and products within the facility.
- Safely stack and organize materials in designated areas, such as shelves, pallets, or storage racks.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure proper functioning.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in inventory management by accurately documenting the movement of materials and products.
- Support production operations by delivering raw materials or components to workstations.
- Dispose of waste or recyclable materials appropriately and efficiently.
- Report equipment malfunctions or any safety concerns to supervisors immediately.




- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned - this position requires task flexible and employee may be assigned to other duties such as fabrication of panels when forklifting duties not required

Qualifications:

- Valid forklift operator certification or license
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Trucking/ trailer hauling experience is asset
- Robust knowledge of safety procedures related to forklift operation.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valuable organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory and operations.
