We are looking for a hands-on Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance team. This role supports the day-to-day operation of our production facility by installing, maintaining, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical equipment and associated controls to help ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate is a qualified Industrial Electrician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with three-phase power, motor controls, PLCs, instrumentation, and production equipment, and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the Maintenance and Production departments with the safe, reliable operation of electrical systems, equipment, and production lines.
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical equipment, wiring, control panels, motors, variable-frequency drives, sensors, PLCs, and associated control systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals to diagnose faults and complete repairs.
- Use electrical test instruments, including multimeters and clamp meters, to verify voltage, current, continuity, insulation, and equipment operation.
- Follow daily and periodic maintenance schedules and complete preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce production downtime.
- Apply lockout/tagout procedures and follow applicable electrical safety, occupational health and safety,



and food safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, testing, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Promote a safe work environment and report electrical hazards or unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager.
- Other duties as assigned to support maintenance in other areas.

Qualifications

- Industrial Electrician Certificate of Qualification, Ontario Trade Code 442A or in progress, required.
- 3–5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a processing, CPG, food production, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting three-phase power systems, motors, motor controls, variable-frequency drives, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and industrial electrical panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Experience with PLC diagnostics, industrial instrumentation, and preventive or predictive maintenance is an asset.
- Experience in a food production facility or similarly regulated environment is preferred.
