We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team.

A minimum of 3 years of industrial painting experience is required.

Responsibilities The Industrial Painter will be responsible for preparing, painting, finishing, and maintaining a variety of industrial surfaces and equipment.

Duties include

- Preparing surfaces for painting while carefully protecting delicate or finished surfaces
- Mixing coatings using specialized measuring and mixing equipment according to manufacturer specifications
- Applying primers, pre-finishes, and finishing coats
- Wet painting using spray equipment
- Using a variety of painting techniques and tools, including spray guns, stencils, rollers, and brushes
- Selecting the appropriate tools, equipment, and application method for each job
- Using required personal protective and safety equipment, including air-fed masks
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Properly handling and disposing of hazardous chemicals, coatings, and waste in accordance with safety procedures
- Cleaning and maintaining spray guns and other painting equipment
- Inspecting completed work to ensure a high-quality finish
- Following all company safety procedures and work instructions

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of automotive or industrial equipment painting experience
- Proven experience wet painting with a spray gun
- Knowledge of paint preparation, mixing, application, and finishing techniques
- Ability to differentiate between colours
- Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work on multiple priorities with frequent interruptions
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and painting equipment

- Operate spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other hand tools to apply primer, paint, or protective coatings efficiently
- Use power tools and mechanical knowledge to assemble or disassemble parts as needed for painting processes
- Maintain and operate equipment such as cranes or forklifts for moving large or heavy components safely




- Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve workflow efficiency during painting operations
- Conduct quality inspections on finished surfaces to verify coverage, smoothness, and adherence to specifications
- Document work processes and complete safety checks regularly to uphold workplace standards

Qualifications

- Proven experience in industrial painting, manufacturing, or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniques
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding, and assembly processes
- Ability to operate cranes, forklifts, or other lifting equipment safely (certification preferred)
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating thicknesses and material quantities
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to support continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with machining processes and the use of hand tools for surface prep or minor repairs
- Robust attention to detail, safety awareness, and ability to follow technical instructions accurately

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
