About GrowLiv Biologicals

Founded in 2014, GrowLiv has been well recognized as a local producer of beneficial insects and mite predators. GrowLiv provide biocontrol products and services to our clients in all over north America for an eco friendly as well as economical pest management of greenhouse vegetables, fruits, flowers, cannabis and the indoor microgreen crops. GrowLiv also has built its well reputation in Buzz pollination industry being one of the good producer and provider of bumblebees.

GrowLiv production facilities are located in the rural areas of the Amherstburg municipality. We are right in the center of the Windsor-Essex growing region and just outside Leamington, the greenhouse capital of the Canada.

Culturing insect colonies: You will be assisting in preparing various soil recipes, handling insects and mites, sowing and watering plants, and keeping the work area and tools clean and organized.

Harvesting insect and mite colonies: At maturity the insect colonies are harvested, quality checked, and packed for shipping to the customers.

Quality control:



Sampling and counting the insects and mites under microscope to ensure their health, right concentration and numbers.

Sterilization & sanitation: Using hot water dish washing machine, autoclaves and other sanitizing tools.

Preparation medium and culturing supplies: Using electronic grinders, sifting machines and mixing tools.

The right person for this job must be able to work independently with little supervision. Be well organized, reliable, and have their own mode of transportation.

Must be willing to work weekend shifts. Most shifts start at 8:30 and end at 5pm.

Education: Degree/diploma in biology, agriculture, horticulture or environmental sciences or equivalent. Entomology or experience with insects and mites is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
