The Opportunity

We're a small and growing team, and we're looking for an experienced Gutter Installer who takes pride in doing quality work.

As a Journeyman Installer, you'll work alongside our Lead Installer and installation crew completing gutter, downspout, gutter guard, soffit, and related exterior projects across Vancouver Island.

You'll be expected to work independently on many aspects of an installation, understand proper installation techniques, identify potential problems, and help keep each project moving safely and efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced installer who enjoys working with a strong team, wants steady responsibility without necessarily having to run every job, and is interested in growing with Gutter King as the company expands.

Your Day-to-Day

- Install gutters, downspouts, gutter guards, soffit, and related products according to Gutter King's installation standards
- Work alongside the Lead Installer and other crew members to complete residential and commercial projects safely and efficiently
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install gutter systems accurately and professionally
- Assist with custom and more challenging installations, including troubleshooting installation issues as they arise
- Identify potential problems with rooflines, drainage, fascia, access, or existing conditions and communicate them to the Lead Installer
- Help ensure finished installations are straight, secure, properly sloped, sealed, and draining correctly
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers when required
- Help load and unload materials, organize tools and equipment, and prepare for each job
- Keep trucks, tools, equipment, and job sites clean, safe,



and organized
- Support and provide guidance to Helpers and less experienced crew members when appropriate

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who already understands the trade and can be relied on to complete quality work without constant supervision.

You should be comfortable working as part of a team, taking direction from a Lead Installer, and stepping up when something needs to get done.

You bring

- 2+ years of gutter installation experience preferred
- Good working knowledge of gutter installation methods, materials, tools, and equipment
- Experience installing gutters, downspouts, gutter guards, and related exterior products
- The ability to measure accurately and work confidently with hand and power tools
- The ability to identify installation problems and communicate them clearly
- A strong work ethic and dependable approach to work
- Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- The ability to work independently when required while still being part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A valid driver's licence and acceptable driving record preferred
- Current fall protection and/or applicable safety certifications preferred
- The ability to comfortably work at heights, on ladders, and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Since 2015, Gutter King has been keeping homes and buildings across Vancouver Island protected from the elements. We install gutters, gutter guards, downspouts, soffit, and Alu-Rex products for homeowners, renovators, contractors, and commercial clients from Nanaimo to Victoria.
