Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm

:

- Create and update 3D models, assemblies, customer drawings, and production drawings using SolidWorks
- Create and update 2D drawings as per GD&T; standards
- Assist the design of lighting fixtures from concept to production release
- Help maintain and improve the design library for commonly used parts and standard components
- Prepare and revise manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and design documents




- Support design improvements based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Work with production, electrical, methods, and testing departments to create jigs, prototypes, or production parts

Requirements and Experience

- 0 – 3 years in an engineering or manufacturing role (including internships / co-op)
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Equivalent
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor, Pro-E, Fusion 360 etc.
- Basic understanding of electronics / PCBAs and wiring
- Basic understanding of sheet metal, injection molding, machining, metal and plastic extrusion processes
- Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Have excellent organizational, reporting, and follow-up skills
- Comply with all TDG Policies and Programs

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SolidWorks
- Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and GD&T;
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and work instructions

Education

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology (Design) / University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
