Brookfield seeks a Legal Counsel in Gatineau, Quebec focusing on corporate transactions and regulatory issues in power generation. Leverage your legal expertise in a role that supports key operational functions. In this position, reporting to the Vice President, you will work closely with various business units to provide legal support on compliance, M&A;, and other strategic initiatives.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, adaptable, and has demonstrated experience in transactional law within a dynamic context. Key Responsibilities:
- Offer legal guidance on utility scale projects
- Assist with M&A; and corporate transactions
- Collaborate across finance, operations, and tax departments
- Manage project compliance and governance matters
- Develop strong relationships with external stakeholders Requirements:
- Member of Quebec or Ontario Bar with 3-5 years' experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in organizing and prioritizing tasks
- Cooperative approach within teams
