Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Long Haul Truck Driver role based in Milton Station, PE.

The Long Haul Truck

Driver will transport refrigerated freight over long distances, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining proper temperature control and load security. Daily responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, following assigned routes and schedules, completing required logs and documentation, and complying with all transportation and safety regulations. The driver will communicate with dispatch, report any delays or issues, and contribute to a culture of safe, courteous, and efficient driving. The role may involve overnight and multi-day trips, varied weather conditions, and work during evenings,



weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL or equivalent) with a clean driving record and experience in long-haul or over-the-road trucking.
- Knowledge of secure driving practices, vehicle operation, and pre-trip/post-trip inspection procedures for heavy trucks and refrigerated units.
- Ability to manage schedules, follow route plans, and complete trip logs, bills of lading, and other transport documentation accurately.
- Strong awareness of transportation regulations, including hours-of-service rules, weight limits, and cross-border or interprovincial compliance requirements.
- Capability to handle physical aspects of the job, such as climbing into cabs, securing loads, and working in varying weather and road conditions.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch, customers, and team members, and reporting issues clearly and promptly.
- Commitment to safety, reliability, and professional conduct, with a focus on on-time delivery and protecting temperature-sensitive cargo.
- Previous experience with refrigerated transport and long-distance driving is an asset; additional training or certifications
