Empower Mi'gmaq women as a Support Worker in outreach programs at Apoqnmatultinej Wellness Centre. Provide comprehensive counselling and support services to those affected by violence and abuse.

In this one-year fixed-term role, you will engage with women in Listuguj and Gesgapegiag through educational workshops and one-on-one counselling. Your expertise in human services will guide your work in assessing client safety, developing risk reduction strategies, and facilitating support sessions aimed at healing.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist women in establishing peaceful lifestyles
- Collaborate for client safety and risk management
- Develop and implement relevant outreach programming
- Maintain accurate participant data
- Provide accompaniment for key appointments

Requirements:
- Diploma in Human Services or similar field
- Minimum two years' experience in support roles
- Ability to conduct group and crisis interventions
- Exemplary organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and vehicle required
