MongoDB Data Modeler / Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a MongoDB Data Modeler / Data Engineer with strong experience in JSON/MongoDB data modeling, PySpark, SQL, and Azure data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing data schemas and building scalable cloud-based data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop MongoDB JSON data models, schemas, and XSD/JSON schemas.
- Manage schema evolution, versioning, migration, indexing, and performance optimization.
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and SQL.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT and data ingestion pipelines using Azure Databricks, ADF, and Synapse.
- Ensure data quality, scalability, performance, and data lineage across platforms.
- Work with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.




- Troubleshoot data and pipeline issues and support production environments.

Must Have
- 5+ years of experience in JSON-based data modeling and schema design.
- Robust hands-on experience with MongoDB.
- Strong SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL skills.
- 2+ years of Azure Cloud experience with Databricks, ADF, and Synapse.
- Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT, data ingestion, orchestration, and cloud data pipelines.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have
- Experience with MongoDB Atlas on Azure.
- Knowledge of Kafka/Confluent Schema Registry.
- Experience with MongoDB indexing, sharding, and performance tuning.
- Payments / ISO 20022 domain experience.
- Experience with data quality, governance, lineage, and audit processes.
