About kinship kinship is the precision-learning operating system for K–12. Our focus is singular: dramatically better learning outcomes for every student. We deliver tangible outcomes through mastery-based learning and school transformation, empowering educators, students, and district leaders with the tools and support needed for lasting impact in real classrooms.
The Role kinship manages priority school relationships as strategic partnerships, not isolated sales opportunities. Our goal is to build durable relationships that launch well, produce evidence, expand over time, and become referenceable proof for the market.
The Partner is the one accountable owner of each relationship, from the first serious conversation through pilot, proof, expansion, and renewal. We start by getting a single pilot working in a single classroom, then build on that success, getting there through decision-maker alignment: the Head, Board Chair, Principal, or Superintendent commits, and the school or district follows their lead.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of earning decision-maker commitment in schools and districts, understands how Heads, Boards, Principals, and Superintendents decide, and has taken an instructional program from pilot through adoption and expansion.
Core Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, and develop priority school and district relationships, and secure decision-maker alignment.
- Develop and execute a strategic account plan for each school: the school's goals, decision-maker and stakeholder map, pilot opportunity and expansion path, implementation requirements and risks, and commercial thesis.
Forecast accurately and meet partnership and expansion targets.
- Lead presentations and demonstrations that speak to the school's own goals and student outcomes.
- Coordinate closely with Pilot Success, Teacher Training and Product & Engineering to ensure the work gets done: scope, timeline, deliverables, issue escalation, launch readiness, client satisfaction, and expansion planning. Orchestrate the right internal expertise at the right moment.
- Lead the commercial conversation with each school: pilot terms, renewal, expansion scope, and changes to what was agreed, defining mutual value for the school and for kinship.
- Maintain the account plan and CRM as the single source of truth for each relationship, and provide clear reporting on pipeline, launch readiness, and the path from pilot to proof to expansion.
What We're Looking For
- A proven track record of earning commitment from school and district decision-makers: Heads of School, Board Chairs, Principals, Superintendents.
- A working understanding of how schools and districts decide, budget, and approve, and of the dynamics of adopting a new instructional program.
- Experience taking a program or technology from pilot through proof, adoption, and expansion,
and an understanding of what evidence schools and boards need along the way.
- Strong account planning: you can write a strategic account plan and run against it.
- The ability to orchestrate cross-functional work you do not directly manage, coordinating implementation, product, and engineering colleagues without solving every problem alone.
- Clear, warm communication with school leaders and teachers, and the judgment to understand a school's context before proposing anything.
- Background or experience in learning sciences, learning engineering, grant-funded initiatives, or academic department leadership is welcomed.
- Demonstrated comfort with AI-driven learning tools and modern AI-forward workflows to streamline account planning, client communication, and partnership execution.
- Thrive in a fast-growing company where priorities shift, roles stretch, and not every process exists yet: turns ambiguity into a practical plan rather than waiting for one.
