Employee - Hourly Rate Employment Type: Temporary Full Time Travel Frequency: Employee Group: Casual Employee On a freelance basis, the successful candidate will shoot and execute photo and video services for Marketing Services at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Branding and Marketing Operations and work closely with leadership, other members of the Marketing team, in addition to colleagues from across KPU to create engaging multimedia content that captures, informs and engages audiences. Create engaging internal and external visuals and video content using KPU's established brand guidelines and visual elements Work with team members on photo/video shoot pre-planning, storyboarding, and creative ideation, establishing a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation, and its desired look and feel Serve as a camera operator on photo/video shoots and events as required Edit photos in a timely manner and share internally and externally as required Operate computer editing software and equipment used for video media, effects and motion graphics Edit videos to include preselected music, interviews,



sound clips and other important aspects of the project Ensure the correct formatting and presentation for finalized videos according to specifications Minimum two (2) years of direct photo and video experience.

A creative, collaborative team-player with a passion for visual storytelling Proficient experience with editing software (After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) Solid understanding of how to optimize video content for all social platforms Access to your own equipment (University to provide laptop and editing software) Duties will require the ability to travel to all 5 KPU campuses (Surrey, Langley, Cloverdale, and Richmond) and other locations in the Lower Mainland.
