The capabilities of both Ekkinox affiliates cover the full logistics lifecycle, from warehousing and transportation to freight handling, packaging, kitting, and final shipment coordination.

Ekkinox is seeking an experienced dispatcher for the afternoon shift in our operations. The terminal is located in Mississauga, ON. The role involves managing the city and highway drivers, planning schedules, and maintaining service quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

- Driver coordination: Schedule and manage drivers for the PM shift drivers, ensuring efficiency and well-being.
- Operations Oversight: Monitor Freight deliveries, address exceptions and update management
- Dispatch drivers based on cut-off times and delivery appointments
- Keep open communication with all departments as required
- Resolve all service-related issues from order to final delivery
- Perform other related tasks as assigned or required by the operations manager
- Other duties related to dispatch and logistics




- Candidate must have at least 3-5 years of dispatch experience in the transportation industry
- Good communication skills- spoken and written, including telephone etiquette
- Thorough knowledge of GTA and the surrounding areas
- Ability to deal with customers, drivers, central dispatch, dock and other terminals
- Knowledge of equipment-tractors and trailers, including weight restrictions
- Strong multitasking abilities; analyze client needs and provide effective solutions
- Proficient in MS Office(Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- AS400 experience is an asset

OFFER AND PERKS

- Salary between $55,000 - $60,000/Annum
- Full-time, permanent, on-site position
- Mon to Fri schedule, shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
- Weekly pay by direct deposit
- Group insurance after 3 months of probation
