The Cape Breton Dental Group is a small group of locally owned and managed dental offices within the CBRM. We have office locations in Downtown Sydney, North Sydney, Sydney Mines & New Waterford.
The opportunity
The Cape Breton Dental Group is currently looking to hire a Registered Dental Assistant to join our busy and well established group of practices. The successful candidate will have a passion for building robust patient relationships and contributing to their ongoing oral health.
Responsibilities
Encourage dental patient acceptance of the treatment plan by meeting their needs, answering questions and by creating value for the proposed treatment
Greet and assist patients as they arrive; ensure a lasting positive impression for them
Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from provider; manage and file all patient records and charts
Present the treatment options, appointment, payment plans, answer questions and overcome objections to motivate patient to case acceptance
Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation
Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
Clean and prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient
Detailed understanding of practice health and safety requirements
Build strong relationships with patients to ensure trust and loyalty
Requirements
Preference will be given to RDA's with Administration experience
Knowledge and understanding of oral treatment plans and ability to educate patients
Administrative experience considered an asset
Some travel may be required
