Position Overview The Parks and Recreation Department of the Township of Russell is opening a recent preschool group at the St-Jean Daycare this fall and is currently seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about the development and well-being of young children to fill the above-mentioned positions.

The Registered Early Childhood

Educator (RECE) reports to the Daycare Supervisor and will be responsible for delivering an educational program including activities that are geared toward children's development, their health, their security and their well-being. This position ensures skilled and efficient management of the programming and activities of the service. Skills, Competencies and Knowledge

- College diploma in Early Childhood Education or in the process of obtaining an equivalent qualification through an apprenticeship program;
- Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators of Ontario;




- Valid and Negative Criminal Record Check - Vulnerable Sector (within six months);
- Valid First Aid and CPR Level C certification;
- Must be18 years or older.

Language Requirements Excellent proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing of French.

Compensation The salary, based on a 40-hour workweek, is set between $56,402 and $63,492 per year and includes a complete benefits package, a pension plan, as well as free access to the Sports Dome Training Centre.
