About the Opportunity micro1 is engaging experienced Toast POS Specialists to contribute specialized restaurant technology expertise to a customer project focused on improving next-generation AI systems.

Selected contributors will apply their hands-on knowledge of Toast POS, restaurant operations, point-of-sale systems, order management, payment processing, and reporting to evaluate realistic workflows, document operational processes, and provide high-quality domain input for AI training and evaluation.

Prior AI experience is not required. Practical expertise with Toast POS and real-world restaurant operations is the primary qualification.

Responsibilities

- Analyze and provide detailed feedback on Toast POS workflows, including order entry, payment processing, reporting, and related restaurant operations.
- Create scenario-based documentation and step-by-step guides reflecting realistic restaurant workflows using Toast POS.
- Review Toast POS functionality and identify opportunities for improvement, workflow inefficiencies, and common operational pain points.
- Troubleshoot common Toast POS issues and document practical solutions and recommended workflows.
- Explain best practices for implementing, configuring, and optimizing Toast POS across different restaurant environments.
- Evaluate authentic transaction data, menus, and order flows to support AI understanding of restaurant POS operations.
- Provide clear explanations of Toast POS concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Participate in collaborative sessions to refine prompts, tasks, workflows, and datasets related to Toast POS and restaurant order management.




- Apply restaurant-industry knowledge to ensure workflows and recommendations accurately reflect real-world operating environments.

Required Qualifications

- Significant hands-on experience using Toast POS in a restaurant or related operational environment.
- Practical experience with Toast POS configuration, troubleshooting, and day-to-day operation.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operational workflows and how POS systems interact with ordering and payment processes.
- Experience with order entry, payment processing, reporting, menus, and transaction workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on clarity and accuracy.
- Ability to document processes and explain technical workflows in a user-friendly manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify workflow issues and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working with Toast POS across multiple restaurant concepts, including:
- Quick-service restaurants
- Casual dining
- Fine dining
- Other restaurant formats
- Experience configuring or optimizing Toast POS for different operational requirements.
- Experience training, mentoring, or supporting restaurant staff in adopting recent technology solutions.
- Background in restaurant operations, management, hospitality technology, or POS implementation.
- Experience creating training materials,



workflow documentation, or operational guides.
- Experience contributing to AI training, evaluation, data annotation, or similar projects is a plus.
