Safety Coordinator

Location: Dawson Creek, BC

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: $75-$85,000 (based on experience), plus Perks

We are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team and help maintain and continuously improve an exceptional safety program across our field and construction operations. Our company has an established safety culture and consistently achieves high COR® audit scores.

This position is about more than rules and paperwork. The successful candidate will be a strong safety leader who can communicate effectively, earn the trust and respect of field personnel, and build positive working relationships with supervisors, workers, subcontractors, and management. You will be expected to work alongside our field teams, provide practical safety support, and help maintain the high standards we have established.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company’s Occupational Health and Safety Program.
- Conduct regular jobsite and workplace safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
- Work with supervisors and crews to identify hazards and develop practical controls.
- Coordinate orientations, toolbox meetings,



safety training and competency requirements.
- Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain safety documentation and support the company’s safety management system and COR® program.
- Monitor compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements and company policies.
- Promote worker participation and continuous improvement in our safety program.

Qualifications

- 2–5 years of construction, industrial safety, OHS or related experience.
- Working knowledge of WorkSafeBC requirements.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Construction safety experience preferred.
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to jobsites.
- NCSO®, COR® Internal Auditor, First Aid, or other relevant safety certifications are considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic safety-management systems.
