We are currently hiring a Senior Manager, People Partnerships & Wellbeing based in our Head Office in Burnaby, reporting to the Vice President, People & Culture.

This is an opportunity to lead a broad portfolio that shapes how we support our team members and leaders. You’ll guide People Services, disability management, health and safety, and wellbeing; advise on complex employee and labour relations matters; and help build practical, consistent people practices across BCAA.

Working closely with business leaders and colleagues across People & Culture, you’ll bring sound judgment to sensitive issues, develop your teams, and turn employee feedback and emerging workplace needs into meaningful improvements.

What you’ll do:

- Lead and develop the teams responsible for People Services, disability management, and health and safety.

- Serve as the primary People & Culture partner for an assigned client group, advising leaders on workforce needs, performance, organizational change, and employee matters.





- Lead complex workplace investigations and provide recommendations on resolution options, risks, and next steps.

- Support collective bargaining, manage grievances, and advise leaders on applying collective agreements.

- Oversee disability management, workplace accommodations, and return-to-work practices, including complex cases.

- Lead BCAA’s health and safety program, maintaining compliance with WorkSafeBC requirements and keeping policies and practices current.

- Own our wellbeing program and mental wellness strategy, delivering a quarterly calendar of initiatives, events, webinars, and resources.

- Keep core employee documents and people practices current as employment requirements evolve.

- Partner with the People Experience team to deliver people programs and use employee feedback and program data to improve outcomes.

What you bring:

- Post-secondary education in HR, business or a related field.

- At least 8-10 years of progressive People & Culture experience, including at least three years leading a team or function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Strong HR business partnering experience, including advising leaders on complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.

- Experience in a unionized environment, including grievance management and collective agreement interpretation.

- Experience overseeing or working closely with disability management, workplace accommodation, wellbeing, and health and safety programs.

- Strong working knowledge of BC employment and labour legislation, human rights obligations, and WorkSafeBC requirements.

- The ability to build trusted relationships, navigate difficult conversations, and provide explicit, practical recommendations.

- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to balance employee needs,



business priorities, and organizational risk.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use data and feedback to improve programs while managing competing priorities.

- Proficiency with HR systems, such as Workday, and Microsoft Office. Experience in the insurance or mobility industries is an asset.

The salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 per year and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.
