About the Opportunity micro1 is engaging experienced GitHub Specialists to support a customer project focused on completing and documenting realistic software development and version-control workflows within GitHub.

Selected contributors will use their hands-on experience with Git, GitHub, version control, repository management, collaboration, and CI/CD workflows to complete practical technical tasks and generate high-quality interaction data that supports the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.

The role focuses on practical GitHub expertise and real-world software development workflows. Contributors will complete assigned tasks, document their processes, develop evaluation materials, and provide accurate feedback based on actual GitHub functionality.

Responsibilities

- Complete assigned workflows and tasks within GitHub using practical software development and version-control experience.
- Navigate GitHub features related to repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration.
- Create, edit, review, and manage repositories according to provided workflow instructions.
- Use Git and GitHub to perform common version-control operations, including:
- Branching
- Merging
- Commits
- Pull requests
- Repository management
- Work with GitHub collaboration and development workflows in realistic technical scenarios.
- Record your screen while completing assigned workflows and clearly demonstrate the steps taken.
- Create realistic prompts and detailed evaluation rubrics based on completed workflows.
- Document workflow steps and clearly explain the GitHub tools, features, commands, and actions used.
- Review task outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project guidelines.




- Follow established project instructions and quality standards while working independently.
- Provide clear technical documentation that can support AI training and evaluation.

Required Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience using GitHub in professional, project-based, or open-source environments.
- Strong understanding of Git and version control concepts and workflows.
- Practical experience with repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaborative development.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows.
- Ability to independently navigate GitHub and complete realistic technical workflows.
- Current access to GitHub and ability to use the platform independently.
- Comfortable recording and sharing your screen while completing assigned workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
- Ability to clearly document and explain technical workflows.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to provide structured technical feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional experience using GitHub for software development or engineering projects.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, automated testing, deployment pipelines, or CI/CD.
- Previous experience with human data projects, including data annotation, data labeling, RLHF, AI response evaluation, or model evaluation.
- Experience creating prompts,



rubrics, workflow documentation, or evaluation criteria.
- Robust ability to explain technical processes clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with collaborative software development practices and repository governance.
