Our client is seeking a Senior Stress Engineer for a permanent prospect based in Mirabel, QC. This role focuses on validating aeronautical structures for both commercial and military aerospace programs, including new product development, systems integration, repairs, and airworthiness compliance.

The Senior Stress

Engineer will provide technical leadership, perform structural analyses using classical and finite element methods, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure designs meet performance, safety, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Structural analysis
- Stress analysis
- Certification activities
- Preparation of engineering reports and documentation
- Working with structural components such as frames, skin, and stringers.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of aerospace structural analysis experience.
- Strong expertise in static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analysis.




- Extensive knowledge of metallic and composite aircraft structures.
- Proficiency with finite element analysis (FEA) tools.
- Experience validating mechanical designs and approving analysis reports.Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring experience.
- Strong prioritization and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bilingual in French and English, including the ability to write technical reports in English
- Knowledge of MATLAB.
- Experience with VBA programming.
- Python programming experience.

Compensation:

$113,000/yr to $163,000/yr
