About Maven TechLab
Maven TechLab delivers hands-on STEM, coding, robotics, and maker programs for children ages 6–13 through school partnerships and seasonal camps across Vancouver.
We are building a teaching team with clear growth pathways, from entry-level assistants to lead instructors.
Open Roles
1. Lead STEM Instructor
Pay: $22–25/hr
Best for: Experienced instructors or educators seeking stable responsibility
Responsibilities
- Teach classes independently using Maven TechLab curriculum
- Support and guide assistant instructors
- Step in as coverage when needed
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and quality
Requirements
- Experience working with children
- Robust classroom management
- Calm, reliable, and organized
2. Assistant STEM Instructor
Pay: $19–21/hr
Best for: University students, tutors, education assistants, STEM learners
Responsibilities
- Assist with coding, robotics, and STEM activities
- Support small groups of students
- Learn curriculum and teaching routines
- Grow toward independent instruction
Training and support provided
3. Junior Instructor / Senior High School Mentor
Pay: $18–19/hr (or volunteer pathway available)
Best for:
- Grade 10–12 students
- Alumni of STEM or robotics programs
- Students interested in education or leadership
Responsibilities
- Support students during activities
- Help with setup and cleanup
- Observe and learn teaching skills
- Grow into assistant instructor roles over time
- Reliability and professionalism
- Comfort working with children
- Willingness to learn
- Calm, structured communication
We hire for attitude and teaching ability first. Technical depth grows with experience.
Requirements
- Experience working with children (paid or volunteer)
- Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Ability to travel to school or camp locations
Growth Path

Training, mentorship, and promotion pathways are provided.
