About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Procurement Category Specialist to support international procurement operations. The role will focus on category management, strategic sourcing, contract management, supplier relationships, and commercial negotiations across global business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies.
- Lead sourcing projects, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
- Manage contracts and supplier relationships/performance.
- Conduct market research, spend analysis, and cost optimization activities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and global procurement teams.
- Identify process improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare business cases, analysis, and procurement recommendations.
- Ensure procurement activities follow company policies and HSE requirements.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Procurement, Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Supply Chain.
- Experience with multinational/global organizations.
- Robust experience in category management, contract management, sourcing, and negotiations.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with SAP, SAP Ariba, Power BI, and Excel is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.
- Fluent English and French – written and spoken.
- Comfortable working with international teams and different time zones.
- Ability to work minimum 3 days onsite in Montreal.
- Occasional international travel may be required.
