Lauremont School is seeking Supply Teachers for the 2026–2027 Academic Year to provide occasional coverage in Toddler, Children’s House, and/or Elementary. Assignments may be scheduled in advance or offered on a same-day basis as needed.

Supply Teachers support continuity of learning during teacher absences by delivering the assigned classroom program and assisting with student supervision, co-curricular activities and other assigned duties.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks:





● Help foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning, well-being and personal development through a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) approach.

● Build respectful and supportive relationships with students and colleagues.

● Encourage students to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that support their continued learning and individual potential.

● Support the delivery of lessons and learning activities, as directed by the teacher, adapting approaches to meet a range of student needs.

● Incorporate appropriate technology to enhance student learning and engagement.

● Provide active supervision and support for students during classroom activities, recess, lunch and other assigned times.

● Adapt to changing student and classroom needs with flexibility and responsiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

● MACTE approved Montessori Teacher Certification; Infant/Toddler, Early Childhood or Elementary

● Ontario College of Teachers Certification

● Undergraduate Degree

● Training and experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework considered an asset

● The ability to instruct in a laptop environment





● Proven ability to work effectively as part of a cooperative team, contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture

● Demonstrate professional approach and work ethic

● A commitment to the highest standards of teaching

● A satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Check

● A satisfactory current Child Welfare Record Check from CAS

● Current First Aid CPR, and AED

Compensation is based on an hourly rate of $34.50 an hour plus 4% vacation.
