As our operations expand, we are seeking a skilled Part‑Time Finance Manager to support our financial strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure strong financial stewardship.

Role Overview

The Part‑Time Finance Manager will oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, lead budgeting and forecasting processes, support strategic planning, and ensure NuEnergy.ai maintains financial rigor as we continue to scale. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, mission‑driven workplace and enjoys owning processes from end‑to‑end.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Operations

- Oversee bookkeeping functions, including expense tracking and reconciliations




- Manage accounts receivable/payable processes
- Process payroll and adhere to payroll compliance
- Prepare monthly financial statements and assist with year‑end close

Cash Flow & Risk Management

- Monitor cash flow and recommend improvements
- Support grant reporting, funding applications, and investor documentation
- Identify opportunities to optimize financial processes and systems

Qualifications

- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Experience with small to mid‑size companies, tech, or consulting environments is an asset
- Proficiency with financial software (e.g., Quick Books, Excel/Google Sheets, BambooHR)
- Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently while coordinating with other departments
