Overview

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications systems and network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems, telephony, WAN, and electrical components, along with the ability to operate specialized equipment such as forklifts and bucket trucks.

Duties

- Install, troubleshoot, and repair telecommunication systems including telephony and WAN networks
- Perform wiring, cabling, and termination of low voltage systems in accordance with industry standards
- Operate bucket trucks and forklifts safely for elevated work and material handling
- Conduct network infrastructure upgrades and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Use welding skills when necessary for equipment or structural repairs
- Manage bucket operation tasks for installation or repair at elevated heights
- Test and verify system functionality using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment
- Follow safety protocols during all operations to maintain a secure work environment




- Document work performed and prepare reports for project records

Experience

- Prior experience working with telecommunication systems, including telephony and WAN networks
- Electrical experience related to low voltage wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and system integration
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts and bucket trucks in a construction or telecommunications setting
- Knowledge of network infrastructure installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to perform welding tasks as needed for structural or equipment repairs
- Familiarity with telecommunication standards, safety procedures, and industry best practices
- Relevant certifications or training in telecommunications, electrical work, or equipment operation are preferred but not mandatory
