The Role The Transportation and Customs Manager leads the movement of event materials across Canada, the US, and international borders, with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and on-time delivery.

You will manage daily transportation planning, including scheduling, routing, and coordinating carriers and fleets so that shipments arrive at the venue on time and return safely after the event. You will oversee freight forwarding, warehousing, and customs clearance activities, monitor documentation and compliance, work with customs brokers and regulatory agencies, and resolve clearance issues before they cause delays. This includes clearances for live entertainment and events, where choosing the right entry procedure matters.





You will also be the key point of contact for clients and internal teams, providing status updates, addressing service issues, and helping improve our logistics workflows. The role includes supervising operations staff, tracking performance metrics, and building strong relationships with vendors, carriers, and partners.

Qualifications

- Strong operations management skills, with the ability to oversee logistics workflows and coordinate end-to-end event transportation
- Transportation and fleet management experience, including route planning and managing carriers and vehicles for timely, cost-effective deliveries
- Knowledge of Canadian and US customs regulations, documentation, and clearance processes, ideally with cross-border or event logistics experience
- Familiarity with freight forwarding, warehousing, and material handling operations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills for handling client and partner inquiries, status updates, and issue resolution
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
- Proficiency with logistics or transportation management systems and standard office software
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Experience in trade show, live entertainment, event logistics, or specialized transportation environments is an asset
